2019 outreach stories

January 2019:
We continued our weekly prayer initiative to pray for the persecuted church, using prayer guides from The Voice of the Martyrs.

February 2019:
We made dozens more “Blessing Bags for the Homeless” to distribute as we encounter those in need.

March 2019:
We did our 19th quarterly adopt-a-road cleanup on Harbins Rd, Lilburn. Six hardy souls picked up hundreds of pounds of trash in order to serve our community.

Our prayer shawl ministry donated hundreds of “prayer squares” to the NICU unit at Athens Regional Hospital.

Cascade went with 23 others from Georgia Tech’s CCF on a mission trip to Mexico to build two houses for needy families, partnering with the ministry Casas por Cristo.

Our second season of Awana Club reached 15 families / 35 students aged 2-18 in Puggles, Cubbies, Sparks, T&T, and Youth Group! A team of 10 leaders (Amy, Beth, Charis, Dawn, Karen, Kelsey, Luis, Margy, Noah, Paul) served the kids each week, along with the blessing of 7 additional guest teachers and helpers (Bart, Jeanne, Jim, Karis, Nancy, Scott, Sunny).

April 2019:

Celebration Singers visited Atria of Tucker and gave two concerts for the residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care.

We did our 20th quarterly adopt-a-road cleanup on Harbins Rd, Lilburn.

Celebration Singers visited Atria of Tucker and gave two concerts for the residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care.

We did our 21st quarterly adopt-a-road cleanup on Harbins Rd, Lilburn.

October 2019:

Celebration Singers visited Atria of Tucker and gave two concerts for the residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care.

November 2019:

We prepared, prayed for, and sent off dozens of Christmas box gifts for children through Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.

December 2019:

We did our 22nd quarterly adopt-a-road cleanup on Harbins Rd, Lilburn.

Celebration Singers “Christmas Edition” visited Atria Park of Tucker and sang about a dozen Christmas songs for the residents. The children shared cards and treats with each resident!
