Four times a year, our Sunday morning worship service is a participatory blend of Scriptures, songs, and saints wrapped around a theme, as we seek to always remain focused on Jesus, to the glory of God, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Our worship team leads us in singing more than our usual number of songs of worship and praise to the Lord. In between songs, everybody who so desires gets to play by reading Scriptures or quotes from saints (from the Greek word “hagios,” meaning “holy” or “set apart” and referring to all believers in Christ). And, as in all of our Sunday worship services, we celebrate Communion (the Lord’s Supper) together. On ordinary Sundays we remain in our seats to receive the Communion elements. On special Sundays (Easter, Christmas, and Scriptures, Songs, and Saints), we participate in a more embodied way by going to the front of the sanctuary and dipping bread (“The body of Christ given for you”) into a common cup (“The blood of Christ shed for you”).
“Scriptures, Songs, and Saints” has become a precious part of our Liberty Vineyard DNA!
