Let the Lord’s work go deep into our hearts

Everybody Gets to Play #37

Liberty Vineyard,

We are just a couple weeks away from wrapping up our series on 1 John and celebrating the Resurrection. I would love it if you invited guest or relatives who do not typically come to church that day. It is such an important day in the calendar year for a church and may be a time when people are more open to think about faith and the trajectory of their lives.

This Sunday I shared from 1 John 5:1-5 on belief and trust in Christ from an honor-shame point of view. I believe if most of us were honest, we all have something to surrender to the Lord in this area of shame. How thankful we can be for the renewing, miraculous work of Christ who has seated us at a place of honor through the Cross.

I don’t have lots to expound on from this Sunday other than an encouragement to let the Lord’s work go deep into our hearts. I have asked this before but I will revisit it. This week, what do I need to let go of? What do I need to hold onto?

I am looking forward to being with you all at this week’s community meal and leaning in as we dive deeper into the remaining pages of 1 John. Peace to you all.

John
