Crafted Prayer from “PRAY and WALK at Chandler RUN” – April 2026
Lord God, we thank you that as we walked and prayed at Chandler Run, you showed us things with our natural senses that speak to us of the good, holy, and beautiful work that you are doing and will continue to do in the lives of people there.
We ask you, Lord, to use the front and side gates of Chandler Run as a welcoming community, a place where families and friendships would be nurtured and strengthened. Would you make this a safe community for all who choose to live here.
We pray for your protection over every individual, every family. Would you provide all who move in here with everything they need in their new community. Most importantly, we ask for your grace in transforming each unit from a brick and siding building to becoming someone’s home. We ask for your blessing in every part of their lives. We pray that each person who lives here will flourish and thrive, especially the ones who are tucked away or out of sight.
May each parent and grandparent who lives in this community turn their attention fully toward you, oh God. May you be their stable and firm foundation as they raise their children and grandchildren. May their desire for happy and healthy children stir up a hunger and thirst for the living God. Lord, we ask you to send willing messengers to the residents of Chandler Run, people who will share the good news of the kingdom of God.
May the beauty of birdsong, blooms, and breezes remind people to see one another not as others to be categorized or judged, but as living beings who are deeply beloved by God. Help each one to see the beauty in the ordinary. Would you meet each one who is stuck in hurt, offense, or outrage, and give them a vision to be a part of building something beautiful in the community.
Lord, as we continue to pray for our neighbors, we thank you for your encouragement and for giving us glimpses of your heart for people. We are so often so much in a rush. Help us to slow down and notice the people around us and what you are showing us. Would you give us childlike hearts that are humble, open, and curious, so we can see and love people the way you see and love them. For whom have you sent us? Give us courage to find ways to reach out as wounded healers to those who are broken and in need of restoration. Help us to notice people around us and to be willing to come alongside in the messiness and the brokenness of our own lives and their lives and see what you will do.
We thank you, God, that your vision for our community is way bigger than anything we could ever imagine. May each tiny seed we plant in the love of Jesus Christ bear an abundance of good fruit for the kingdom and glory of God. We give our whole selves to you afresh. Help us to follow you in whatever you would have us do, and to join with your good work in the power of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
