Continually be balanced – upward, inward, outward

Everybody Gets to Play #28

Liberty Vineyard,

First things first, Go GEORGIA BULLDOGS!!!! Man, that is about the biggest beating I have seen a team give in a long, long time. The Braves a year ago and now Georgia football with back to back championships. . . not bad. 😊

Wasn’t our time together last Sunday so sweet? I don’t usually rate church services or times together but I felt like our gathering on Sunday was one of the most meaningful times we have had together since I started worshipping with LVC back in June. The praise and worship team was on fire. God was speaking through Pastor Nancy powerfully during Holy Communion. Everyone was super engaged and responsive when studying 1 John 1:1-4. Then, when we gathered to celebrate this last year over food in the fellowship hall, there were many powerful encouragements brought forth. People just seemed relaxed, glowing with the love of the Lord, and happy to be in God’s presence. We talked about the fellowship of believers on Sunday and that was put on full display even as we studied it together. So wonderful!

Action Steps for the Week:

I left you all with a couple questions on Sunday that I will place here again:

  1. What area do you need to focus on to move the ball just a little farther down the field in a relationship or with someone who is not in fellowship with Christ?
  2. What tools are you lacking or what tools do you need to sharpen to proclaim/testify to the truth?

Again, I encourage you to find someone to hold you accountable on these things with whom to walk in fellowship. We want to continually be balanced in our fellowship of going upward towards God in worship/praise, inward in deepening love and faith with one another, and outward towards spurring one another on in mission. When we get all three of those we have true fellowship and unity in the body of Christ.

You guys are awesome!!

John
