The theme this month for our music ministry was Change. We featured artists who penned songs that speak of the need for and the inevitableness of change. The residents at Atria responded well to the theme; some nodded their heads, some shed a few tears and many sang along. It was a precious time together.

What a beautiful time we had sharing our Songs of Change set with the residents and staff at Tucker Park Crossing. Each month they welcome us with open arms and hearts! They joined us on several songs and sang them out of a place of personal understanding and connection. We felt the Lord’s presence throughout and many were deeply moved during James Taylor’s song, “Fire and Rain.” We love the opportunity to do what love with those we’ve come to know and love, our precious friends at Tucker Park Crossing.

It was wonderful spending time with our friends in Atria’s Life Guidance wing. We shared our final Songs of Change set. One of the caregivers handed out tambourines to the residents and she sang with us on “Fire and Rain.” It was a sweet time together. We count it a privilege to be welcomed there by staff and residents.
