2017 outreach stories

January 2017:
We sent cards of encouragement and prayer to each of the local businesses in the immediate vicinity of our rented space: Ceci’s Pet Paradise, New Image Hair Salon, Kay Cleaners, Elad Signs, Hachem Food Market, Flo Hair Braiding, El Buritto Loco Restaurante, Mi Bella Hair Salon, Torito Western Wear, Sausage World, and En Pointe School of Dance. We prayed for Kingdom transformation of our whole community and for the light of Christ to shine brightly in the hearts of each business owner, employee, and customer.

February 2017:
We served at Lilburn Co-op by mowing, cleaning, repairing, and sorting out donations of clothing and food to be distributed to needy individuals and families in our community, while strengthening relationships with one another (as always happens when we go on mission together!) You can check out the Lilburn Co-op website to see some donation ideas in preparation for our next outreach there!

March 2017:
We served a family in our church who needed some extra hands for a morning of heavy lifting, decluttering and cleaning. Many hands truly did make light work, and the family was greatly blessed and thankful!
We did our 11th quarterly adopt-a-road cleanup!

April 2017:
We served together at the Lilburn Co-op.

May 2017:
We provided school supplies for students at Lilburn Middle School. While we were there, we also provided dozens of cupcakes for the employees of the school and had the opportunity to pray with people.

June 2017:
We did our 12th quarterly adopt-a-road cleanup on Harbins Rd, Lilburn.

July 2017:
We served together at Lilburn Co-op and En Pointe School of Dance. Our prayer shawl ministry made 20 beautiful prayer shawls for the residents of a local memory care facility (where one of our church members resides!)

August 2017:
We delivered a large quantity of school supplies for students at Lilburn Middle School and had a beautiful prayer time with staff and teachers as we cried out to God on behalf of the many students who face heartbreaking situations in their lives. What a blessing it is to partner with our neighbors in the community in this way!

September 2017:
We did our 13th quarterly adopt-a-road cleanup on Harbins Rd, Lilburn, made more exciting by the road construction going on in the middle of our stretch!

October 2017:
A small team from Liberty Vineyard Church walked with Compassion to end child poverty. Our team managed to raise the 2nd highest amount for a group in the Atlanta area, raising $675 in our first year to participate in this wonderful initiative!

We prayed for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being persecuted (International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church), gave a donation to Voice of the Martyrs, and received prayer bracelets as a reminder to keep praying.

November 2017:
A team of eight from Liberty Vineyard Church (4 adults, 2 teens, 2 children) trekked down to south Georgia to spend the weekend learning about food insecurity and doing something about it! The group of 30 from several churches around the state together gleaned 1700 lb of broccoli and 1400 lb of cucumbers!

We prepared shoe box gifts for Operation Christmas Child as we do each year! What a joy to share the love of Jesus in a practical way with children, their families and communities all around the world!

December 2017:
We did our 14th quarterly adopt-a-road cleanup on Harbins Rd, Lilburn. The bridge construction continues!
